What is Engineered Wood Floors?
Engineered wood floors, are real wood floors and not imitations. It is made up of different layers of wood that are bonded together at very high pressure to provide a magnificent end product.
The two bottom layers are plywood which are permanently bonded to each other with the grains running across each other to provide additional strength and stability, as well as increased moisture protection, compared to that of a solid wood floor.
The top layer of the floor is 100% natural, solid wood, which is bonded to the layers of plywood, to give you a stunning and beautiful, engineered wooden floor that comes pre - finished from the factory, which basically means that the visible,top layer of solid wood is already machine sanded, (which gives it that very smooth finish) and sealed with multiple layers of varnish or sealant, which reflects the true and natural beauty of real wood on the surface. bringing the true beauty of the wood to the surface as well as being coated with multiple layers of sealant or varnish, that gives gives the floor that layer of protection, bringing that which makes it ready to walk on immediately after installation.
